(a) In general.—Section 1886(d)(4)(C) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395ww(d)(4)(C)) is amended by adding at the end the following new clause:
“(iv)(I) For discharges occurring during the emergency period described in section 1135(g)(1)(B), in the case of a discharge that has a principal or secondary diagnosis of COVID–19, the Secretary shall increase the weighting factor for each diagnosis-related group (with such a principal or secondary diagnosis) by 15 percent.
The hospitals and practices are taking advantage and cashing in on this; they are marking down any symptom as a “COVID-19 case” thus inflating the number of “patients” causing a nationwide coverage for a media hysteria for false positives on TV news to fear monger the public. The leftist media uses fear and reaction as the initial response to anything, instead of discernment and thorough investigation, TV media uses the oldest trick in the book emotional standpoint with all the false cases; that’s also why asking questions about the ‘official narrative’ mainstreamers and CNN worshipers take offense, they believe anything on the TV without proper criticism, analysis, or research.
